Our History
Kent Walters founded Walters Truck and Trailer Repair in 2000 with a simple standard: show up, do the job right, and treat every customer’s downtime like it’s costing them money — because it is. Twenty-five years later, that standard hasn’t changed, even as the business has grown to cover a wider range of vehicles.
What started as a heavy truck and trailer repair operation has expanded to include HD pickup and fleet service, reflecting the reality of what our customers in the Bluegrass region actually drive and haul. Semis, box trucks, dually pickups, and fleet vehicles all end up in the same place when something breaks: on the side of the road or in our bay, needing a technician who knows what they’re looking at.

A lot of heavy truck shops don’t carry auto-level certification, which means HD pickups — with their car-adjacent electronics, emissions systems, and diagnostics — end up outside their comfort zone. Ours doesn’t. Every technician at Walters Truck & Trailer Repair works across both heavy truck and HD pickup platforms, so you’re not routed to a “pickup guy” who’s never touched a semi, or a semi shop that’s guessing on your F-350.

Our 6,000-square-foot shop sits one mile off I-75 at Exit 129 in Georgetown, Kentucky, equipped for computer diagnostics, hydraulic hose service, welding, and tire work on everything from semi trailers to HD pickups. Scheduled appointments and walk-in drive-ins are both welcome.
